AHAVAT OLAM

AHAVAT OLAM - Hebrew songs
The most beautiful prayers of High Holidays and Shabbat

It is a unique program, which consists of Hebrew religious songs performed during Jewish festivals. We will listen to the prayers connected with High Holidays: Rosh Hashanah (Day of Judgement) and Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) – among others the famous prayer Avinu Malkenu.

The program is completed with songs connected with Shabbat – performed during services in synagogues as well as those sang traditionally at home. The premiere of the program took place during the 10th Jewish Culture Festival “Zakhor – Colour and Sound” in Białystok in 2017.

The charismatic voice of Anna Riveiro, combined with the virtuoso arrangements of the pianist Anna Hajduk, sounds magical. The artists create a unique atmosphere and bring listeners to a different world...

Avinu Malkeinu
(recorded during the service of Rosh Hashana in the Reform Synagogue of Warsaw 2014):

"I had a great privilege of conducting High Holiday prayers (2012, 2013, 2014) together with Cantor Anna Jagielska-Riveiro in Warsaw, Poland. Anna has a beautiful voice, since her voice comes out mainly from her heart and soul.  She identifies with two thousand years of Jewish liturgists and worshippers who felt closer to the Almighty at this time of year: Rosh HaShanah & Yom Kippur."
