ANNA RIVEIRO
\nA charismatic singer, cantorial soloist, vocal coach, guitarist, composer and music producer.
\nShe constantly gives concerts in Poland and abroad. She has performed in Mexico, Israel, Spain, France, England, Germany, Italy, Morocco and other countries. As a singer recognized all over the world she is regularly invited to international festivals, particularly those connected with the \u201eworld music\u201d.<\/p>\n

She sings in various styles and languages performing music from different epochs, traditions and countries. In her artistic creation she is an ambassador of multiculturalism. A special place in her repertoire is occupied by Jewish music and particularly Sephardic music (music of Spanish Jews). Her artistic search heads also towards ancient and traditional music connected especially with the culture of Spain, Portugal, Latin America and Poland.<\/p>\n

Anna Riveiro is considered to be a master of Sephardic songs and is often called \u201cPolish voice of Sefarad\u201d (\u201eLa voz polaca de Sefarad\u201d- Noticias del Mundo Sefaradi<\/i><\/span><\/a>). She performed in the jubilee edition of the 10th INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF SEPHARDIC MUSIC in Cordoba (Spain), where she was the first artist from Poland in the history of this festival. She also sang at the 54th festival JAZZ JAMBOREE in Warsaw as a star of Sephardic music and\u00a0 was invited to perform at a very special celebration of opening the only Sephardic synagogue in Poland restored in Zamo\u015b\u0107.<\/p>\n

The interpretations of Sephardic songs by Anna Riveiro were recognized as exemplary in the UNESCO program concerning languages threatened by extinction. The artist conducts courses and workshops of Sephardic songs in Poland and other countries. In 2023 she was invited for artistic residency to Morocco, where she leaded workshops and performed Sephardic music on concerts together with Moroccan musicians.<\/p>\n

Anna Riveiro\u2019s rich discography includes numerous CDs with Sephardic songs recorded in different styles and with various instruments. The first CD with Sephardic songs Arvolicos d'almendra<\/i><\/span><\/a> (Almond trees), which was recorded in a duo with the outstanding Chilean ladino singer Gerardo Ojeda-Ebert, was published in 2000 by Universal Music. <\/p>\n

The CDs\u00a0 Lunas olvidadas<\/i><\/span><\/a> (2009) and Dos amantes<\/i><\/span><\/a> (2011) were released\u00a0 under the patronage of the Polish Radio and the Cervantes Institute in Warsaw. The CD\u00a0 Dos amantes<\/i><\/span><\/a> recorded in the Concert Studio S1 of the Polish Radio was the result of the project BAJO EL CIELO DE SEFARAD (UNDER THE SKY OF SEPHARAD) organized by Anna Riveiro with the cooperation of the Cervantes Institute, the Polish Radio and the Royal Castle in Warsaw.<\/p>\n

In 2018 the CD AHAVAT OLAM - The most beautiful Hebrew prayers of High Holidays and Shabbat<\/i><\/span><\/a> was released. It is the result of the artist\u2019s work as a cantor in the reform synagogue (the CD was recorded in a duo with the excellent pianist Anna Hajduk-Rynkowicz). Anna Riveiro, since 2012, has been the first female cantor in Poland to lead the High Holidays: Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, at the Reform synagogue in Warsaw. She has also sung as a cantor in Israel.<\/p>\n

Previously released Albums: Cantos de la Espa\u00f1a antigua \u2013 Songs of ancient Spain<\/i><\/span><\/a> (2000, with the outstanding clavichord player Marek Toporowski) and Cantigas de Amigo \u2013 Songs to a Lover<\/i><\/span><\/a>\u00a0 (2008, in Comtessa Trio<\/span><\/a>) were connected with the artist\u2019s love for ancient and traditional music. The CD Entre los mundos \u2013 Between Worlds<\/i><\/span><\/a> (in a duo with a distinguished guitarist Micha\u0142 Pindakiewicz) takes the listener into the various \u2018musical worlds\u2019 of Anna Riveiro. This CD includes Polish ancient and traditional songs as well as Spanish, Sephardic, Hebrew and Yiddish songs.<\/p>\n

As a composer, she composes in various styles, mainly to the poetry of Polish poets. In 2024 she wrote music to Boles\u0142aw Le\u015bmian\u2019s poems and created the program Mi\u0119dzy mi\u0142o\u015bci\u0105 a wieczno\u015bci\u0105 - Wiersze Boles\u0142awa Le\u015bmiana \u015bpiewa Anna Riveiro (<\/i><\/span><\/a>Between love and eternity \u2013 Boles\u0142aw Le\u015bmian's poetry sung by Anna Riveiro). The premiere of this program took place on 9th November 2024 in Warsaw, and in September 2025 a CD with the same title will be released.<\/p>\n

In addition to her concert and recording activities, Anna Riveiro conducts vocal workshops in Poland and abroad as well as\u00a0 <\/span>gives individual singing lessons online, as part of: Anna Riveiro Vocal Studio<\/i><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The development of her voice was influenced the most by working with exceptional singers: Montserrat Figueras (Spain), Jadwiga Dzik\u00f3wna (Poland), Evelyn Tubb (England) <\/span>and the cantor Mimi Sheffer (Israel).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Anna Riveiro has been a member of Association for Polish Music Artists since 1995, Warsaw Music Association since 1996, Society of Artist Performers SAWP since 2010 and Musicians\u2019 Trade Union of Poland. As a composer she is a member of Society of Authors and Stage Composers ZAiKS.<\/i><\/p>\n
